The Park Building Condominiums
Cleveland, Ohio

A historical landmark on Cleveland’s public square was unoccupied office space on floors two through nine in 2005 until developer Matthew Howells retained this office to convert the vacant office space into luxury residential condominiums.

Confronted with multiple issues required to bring a building constructed in 1904 into compliance with current codes, in addition to designing new electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, construction of a new 10 story stair/elevator tower was required to meet current emergency egress requirements.

Public spaces were restored to their original splendor, and the restoration of existing materials and details within each suite were combined with new materials of the finest quality to create a sense of elegance. Each suite overlooks public square, and a new penthouse is added to the structure to provide three additional suites. The fully glazed north elevation of the penthouse provides an incredible view of the city and well outward to Lake Erie.

Among other amenities, units have working fireplaces, trayed ceilings, granite countertops, custom hardwood cabinetry, refinished hardwood flooring, and enclosed parking in the renovated basement providing direct access to the Park Building Suites.

The restored Park Building provides invitation with its prestigious presence to live in an elegant environment with all the advantages of urban living.
